Hiking Boots, II died on February 27, 2016 due to a broken heart. It seemed new technology made Hiking Boots, II obsolete and passé’. “Boots” was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1988 to Meg after a much-awaited arrival.
Boots was broken in around the hills of Southern Wisconsin and the trails of central Wisconsin. After the break in period, Boots saw the mountains of Utah, Canada, Tennessee, Alabama, Oregon, California, Dakotas, Colorado and Montana and many, many other states. Boots became a proficient traveler and saw this wonderful world and felt the soil of the mountains of Bavaria, Austria Italy, France and Ireland. The highlight was a holy pilgrimage on Croagh Patrick, County Mayo, Ireland with her feet and her family.
Hiking Boots II was lovingly called“Boots” lived a life of service to feet and shared many happy memories. Boots saw the lives of four dogs, raised two children, and lived in five states and two countries.
In recent years, boots battled her adversity with tenacity. The end came swiftly and with dignity. The organs and body will be donated to Goodwill U.S.A. A baloon will be released in honor of the new beginning of the life of “Boots.”
